Craving Green

Your body learns to crave that which you eat in excess.

If you eat salty food, you’ll crave pretzels, salted peanuts, and chips. If you eat a lot of sugar, you’ll get a hankering for ice cream, candy bars, and chocolate.

And if you eat veggies and fruit like they’re going out of style, nothing will look better at the grocery store than a pre-packaged Hugh Jass salad. Especially if it’s been a week since you’ve had any form of lettuce.

I wanted something quick for dinner tonight, since we have friends coming to stay with us, and this looked better than anything else as I paced the aisles.

Oh, and fruit.

My favorite mixed kind: strawberries, kiwi, and pineapple. No cantaloupe (which I am not a fan of).

I had some homemade bread with this delicious (really, it was quite good for store-made) salad.

Ah, just what the doctor ordered.
